Last updated 18 October 2026

To do — before the site goes live

This is a starting draft. Fill the gaps below and ideally have it checked; the Australian Physiotherapy Association has privacy resources for members.

What we collect

To provide physiotherapy we collect personal and health information, including your name, contact details, date of birth, medical history, details of your condition and treatment, and funding details (for example NDIS number and plan details, WorkCover claim number, health fund details). For children, we collect information from parents or guardians.

How we collect it

Mostly from you directly. With your consent, we may also collect it from your GP, other health practitioners, your support coordinator, plan manager, WorkCover case manager or insurer.

Why we use it

To assess and treat you, communicate with you, coordinate care with others involved in it, send invoices and claims to funders, meet our legal and professional obligations, and manage our business.

Who we share it with

Only as needed and, where required, with your consent: your GP and treating practitioners, plan managers and support coordinators, WorkCover Queensland or your employer’s insurer, health funds and Medicare, and our software providers. We don’t sell your information.

To do

Confirm where Splose and Zoho store their data, then state plainly whether information is held in Australia or overseas.

How we store and protect it

Records are kept in secure, password-protected clinical software.

To do
  • Confirm the clinical software to name here (Splose).
  • State whether paper records are kept, and if so how they’re stored securely.
  • Check the current Queensland record-retention requirements, then state the retention period. The draft said at least 7 years, and for children until they turn 25.
